QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Always remember to forget friends that proved untrue. But never forgot to remember those that have stuck by you."
Irish Proverb
THIS IS: Of the course, it's St. Patrick's Day, but it's also National Craft, Kidney, and Nutrition Month
Mom and dad went on a seven day cruise and put me in the kennel again. The cats get to stay home and have someone come in and take care of them. Oh well, I love the kennel because I get play dates with the other dogs staying there.
I hate to brag, but I am the life of the party. I have so much fun playing chase and meeting new friends. Sometimes it's a new group every day. Other time a few of the same dogs are there. I love making new friends.
The thing I miss most about being home is that I miss mom dad. The next thing is sleeping in the big bed with mom and dad. It's so warm and comfortable on the mattress with the nice comforter to lay on.
The nights seems so long in the kennel, and no one makes popcorn. Dad makes it several times a week after mom has gone to bed. I listen for the familiar sounds of the pan and the popping. When it's done, I jump off the bed and join dad in the living room for a late night snack. I love popcorn. Dad sometimes throws me a kernel and I catch it. I think it's a game. I play well because I like the reward.
I get treats at the kennel, too. But not popcorn. They are usually boring regular dog treats. I like them of course, but sharing a bowl of popcorn with dad is so much better. We had popcorn last night, and mom missed it did because she was sleeping.
I am really glad they're home.
