FRIENDSHIP

THIS IS:  Frog Month and National Pet Month

 It was an interesting weekend here at the Cove.  Dad went to Dallas for a bridge tournament.   Mom had a friend stay with her for the weekend.  her friend came Thursday, night.   Denise and mom  have been friends for about forty years.  (Sure makes them sound old, doesn't it?)  They have not seen each other for 25 years.   They reconnected and had a ball.

Denise helped mom out, and she took me for a daily walk.  I loved it.  She gave me treats and lots of attention.  I could tell how much they miss each other a lot.  They hugged each other a bunch. 

 The phrase I heard  most was "Do you remember...?"
Then one of them would tell a story, and  they would laugh. There was a lot laughter.   One day they went out and came home  with all these bags.   But nothing was for me.  I guess there wasn't a pet store at the outlet mall. 

 Mom and Denise left the house Monday morning but mom came home with dad.  Denise must have went back home to her family.  I was so happy to see him, I missed him lots.

 Dad was all happy and puffed out  at the chest.    He and his bridge  partner came in first in their division at the National Conference.  I am proud of my dad and happy for mom that she got to see her best friend.
