THIS IS: Aids Awareness Month, National Tie Month and Universal Human Rights Month
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "The greater love is a mother's; then comes a dog's; then a sweetheart's." Polish Proverb
Several months ago, mom promised she'd be able to take me for a walk by the end of the year. It ain't happening. Although her walking has improved, it hasn't been enough to handle me. She's still learning to walk again.
However, she did promise to take me on a bike ride with her. She kept her promise.
It's so fun trotting along side mom while she pedals. Her bike is a nifty vehicle. It's a cherry red recumbent three wheeler bike with a basket in the rear. I don't fit in the basket like Beverly's little poodles do in hers.
Mom tells me not to be distracted by cats, birds, worms, squirrels, other dogs and people. Oh, and ants. But I can't help looking back to make sure mom's friend Marsha is keeping up with us.
And the time we were riding past Beauty's home. Her mom Sue was out talking to a friend and they saw us go by. Beauty's mom called out my name. I'm not one to ignore a friend so I stopped, turned around and pulled mom in the bike backwards several feet. That was kind of funny.
Or the time I saw the dog run and started to run at close to full speed. Mom couldn't grab the brake handle quick enough and we almost ran into the fence. (I really had to pee.)
But mom loves me in spite of my faults and she laughs about the mishaps later. Mom is so forgiving.
I love going for bike rides with mom. I don't mean to do anything to spoil it, but I know mom will forgive me and WE WILL RIDE AGAIN!
